Nothing going on!

Life is at its worst when its predictable

And right now its just plain boring, I am ready for something to happen, I am so used to getting bad news and bracing for the worst that this stretch of nothing is shocking and boring, I guess in the end bad stuff or good stuff it beats not doing anything. I have stuff to do don't get me wrong, the house is AWAYS needing cleaned up and I am in the middle of purging every ones closets, but that's work and tedious and no fun and very very far from exciting. Anywhoo here's a couple of pic from today.

Scones

The following is a scone recipe that I got from Sis. A, its the best one I have been able to find as I have been searching and trying different recipes for several years. These are quite good and very easy to make, A couple of notes, I doubled this recipe as these tend to get eaten pretty quick, the refrigeration is not necessary but I find it makes the dough easier to handle, I used a pizza cutter to slice and the lid to my vanilla jar to cut the holes, holes are not needed either but it makes them easier to turn over as they tend to get top heavy without. I also had a problem getting the oil at just the right temp, I still don't have it perfect but I am getting there, these were cooked in a shallow cast iron skillet at medium on my electric stove, I did notice Cindi had better luck with getting the right temp, she uses gas, but then that might not have anything to do with it as Cindi IS a better cook then I am.

Unbirthdays and Happy Mothers Day

First
Happy Mothers day!

Evs threw a unbirthday party for Joff and I, he scrounged up some presents he found outside for us, I got an old cassette and Joff got a computer adapter, he wrapped these in paper lunch bags and then he went and made us fish pie, Evs things the old yucky leaves that float around in the pools of standing water are fish, so he brought in a net full of these and made a pie, he had the girls come in and they sang Happy un-Birthday to Joff and I, it was ever so sweet. I would be willing to bet I have one of the sweetest little boys ever!

Its Raining!

I have been wanting to practice slow apertures on running water for a while now, so I was pretty happy with the downpoor we are still receiving, I got pretty soaked but it was still fun. Katie came out with me with her umbrella and pronounced it the best day ever, she loved all the "mini oceans" and the waterfalls.

Elli's growing up and meet Madison!

I just got a new Billy Banks Tae-Bo DVD, every morning I wake up early put it in the DVD player, grab a cup of tea and settle into my easy chair, I haven't lost any weight yet, but with the sweat I work up just watching...........its only a matter of time.

I love the 18 month old stage, thats where Elli's at right now, She is still very much a baby, but she has a decided independent streak, for example, she doesn't walk anymore, she "Swaggers"
She is a somebody and she knows it. She loves to come up for a hug out of the blue and sometimes she just hangs on and doesn't want to let go, its okay I don't want to let go either. Having kids is definitly a dangerous thing to do, having children means you don't ever want them to get hurt, you don't want them to see the sad and horrible things that can and do happen in this life, I am not exactly the throw myself in front of an oncoming train kind of person, but if it meant saving one of my kids I'd do it in a heartbeat (lol kids make us suicidal in more ways then one:) but anyway it always breaks my heart to see that baby fat melt away and instead of clinging to your hand for dear life at the park, they take off like you never existed.

On a happy note, we got a new baby! Her name is Madison, she's a calico sweetheart with long legs and big beautiful ears, if cats walked the runway in Paris, she'd be on it.

Why oh why is there in internal server error everytime I try to upload pictures?

Conference and other Stuff

Its hard to wrap my mind around President Monson, being President Monson:) I liked Elder Christofferson ( I hope thats how you spell it). There were lots of great talks as always and a couple of really, really good ones.
Cindi and I took a billion quizzes yesterday, I found out that I am a "Hapless Extra" like in Star Trek:_ Cindi is a "Damsel in Distress".
I Don't have hardly any pictures of Everett on here so I need to post a couple tonight.
Alice totally is addicted to Skippy Jon Jones, they are pretty good books.
The snow is melting, but at such a rate that we still might miss summer altogether.

My mind is a total blank tonight, so thats all I've got.

Sometimes I feel like a cook, most of the time I feel like toast. KA
